"Nusagi!!!" I shout, racing to chase down this elusive producer. It's a crisp Autumn night in Massachusetts, and I can't tell if I'm shivering from the cold or the anticipation of something epic about to happen. Nusagi is seemingly cloaked beneath a black beanie, small backpack, and a Yung Lean hoodie, but why is she wearing shorts at this time of the year? Where could she be going...

Suddenly, she darts out of sight around an ominous brick building. "Slow down, will you? I'm just trying to-" I turn the corner and stop mid-sentence, dead in my tracks. It takes a moment to process the scene before me. The first thing I see is the stack of chunky pop chords, which looked oddly familiar.

"Um, what are you doing with recovery girl's synths? And... are those ms. diana starshine's vocals being chopped and screwed?" I question aloud while gesturing towards the vocal stems laying on the pavement in pieces, waveforms of the professional singer glinting in the streetlight. Nusagi ignores me as I stand on the curb in disbelief. She was busy gathering them up to put in her bag, perhaps they fell out while running. I watch Nusagi scoop up colorful melody noodles, a few bricks of percussion loops and breaks, small crescendo cones, and a white noise comb. Then she leans to grab a lumpy pile of objects just out of the street lamp's reach. Could it be...

"NO!" I yelped when I realized what was happening. Finally Nusagi acknowledges my presence, if only to share a smirk from beneath her long bangs. It didn't even last a half second as her hair seemed to motion-blur with a quick spin and leap into the shadows beyond this warehouse door. I follow her in thinking I may save everyone inside if I warn them. It's humid and bodies are packed tightly together, I can barely move. The lights fade on and I hear diana starshine's classic "baby, pour that drink in my cup," beginning from the stage where Nusagi was dumping out her tweaked collection of stems. She shook the bag vigorously and I knew I only had one chance to alert the crowd of what was about to drop.

"LOOK OUT! NUSAGI HAS DONKS!!" I screamed. But it was too late! Nusagi had successfully remixed "It's Love" by digifae (recovery girl & diana starshine). My quaking knees quickly transitioned into light footwork, stepping to the clash of the percussion bricks as my eyes were lifted up by the melody noodles, and the whole crowd around me kept in sync with the crescendo cones. I let out a sigh and accepted the wave of sound coming over me. This is one remix I could never forget.
